VISITING CURATORS AT MEDIA ART FESTIVAL LEEUWARDEN – FEEDBACK FROM AN INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE

The TEXT.ME – Project

TEXT.ME was an exciting new program focused on curatorial writing and cross cultural communication. A group of emerging Young Curators selected by our international partners visited the 2020/21 Media Art Festival from the 1st to the 10th of October, 2021. Here they were introduced to artists, got an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into our festival, met our collaborators, and attended lectures and co-working sessions. Drawing from their different cultural contexts and on-site research and exchange, each curator produced a text that dialogues with the work of a MAF Young Masters artist. In addition to the visiting team, a number of local curators also joined in the TEXT ME activities and writing program. Check out the results on this page: a collection of long reads that will offer you in-depth, extra knowledge about the 2020/21 Media Art Festival!
