Bezoekende curatoren op het Media Art Festival Leeuwarden – Feedback van een internationale uitwisseling
Het TEXT ME – Project
TEXT ME was een opwindend nieuw programma gericht op het schrijven van curatoren en interculturele communicatie. Een groep opkomende Young Curators, geselecteerd door onze internationale partners, bezocht het Media Art Festival 2020/21 van 1 tot 10 oktober 2021. Hier maakten ze kennis met kunstenaars, kregen ze een exclusief kijkje achter de schermen van ons festival, ontmoetten onze medewerkers en woonden lezingen en co-working-sessies bij.
Puttend uit hun verschillende culturele contexten en onderzoek en uitwisseling ter plaatse, produceerde elke curator een tekst die een dialoog aangaat met het werk van een MAF Young Masters-kunstenaar. Naast het bezoekende team deden ook een aantal lokale curatoren mee aan de TEXT ME activiteiten en het schrijfprogramma.
