Eternal Dream

‘Eternal Dream’ is an interactive art installation inspired by the eternal dream of flight. The imposing façade slab of the Station District acts as a blue, monolithic canvas. By entering a specific section directly in front of the screen, the visitor’s body is scanned in a real-time point cloud and displayed on the monolith. The moment the visitors jump, the projection begins to rise as well. Immediately after the point cloud disappears from the canvas, the data is uploaded to the eternal-dream.digital website and continues its journey with an endless flight through the web. As an eternal dream.

Simon Weckert studied New Media Art at the Hochschule der Künste Berlin. His focus is the digital world, including everything to do with code and electronics. This results in technological systems, installations and hybrid objects that seek to make complicated issues accessible.
