NOWAH KATER
Blaaskaken

Nowah Kater is a soundartist and graduated this year at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design [MAFAD] in Maastricht. Blaaskaken is a powerful sound installation made of air pumps that blow into long PVC pipes through rubber hoses. Caused by the air pressure, the rubber of the hoses starts to ‘clap’; the artist reinforces these vibrations with long tubes, causing loud, roaring and screeching sounds. Spectators are overwhelmed with both an ominous as an hypnotic sound storm.

Nowah will present his installation with a live performance on:
– Thursday,  November 21 | 21:00 and 22:00 hours
– Friday, November 22 |13:00, 15:00 and 17:00 hours
